Expertise

Research Interests:

  • Cellular and network physiology in animal models of neuropsychiatric disorders
  • The roles of interneurons in neuronal microcircuits
  • Intrinsic electrical properties and their modulation as determinants of discharge behaviour and excitability
  • Intrastriatal neuronal connectivity, synaptic dynamics and modulation in relation to direct and indirect striatofugal projections

Methods:

Multineuron patch-clamp recordings in acute brain slices, partially in combination with optogenetic and retrograde labelling techniques, post-hoc staining and confocal microscopy/ anatomical reconstruction.
