Research focus

Cellular and network physiology in animal models of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders Effects of maternal immune activation on offspring cortical circuitry (current project) The roles of interneurons in neuronal microcircuits  Intrinsic electrical properties and their modulation as determinants of discharge behaviour and excitability  Intrastriatal neuronal connectivity, synaptic dynamics and modulation in relation to direct and indirect striatofugal projection

Methods

Multineuron patch-clamp recordings in acute brain slices, partially in combination with optogenetic and retrograde labelling techniques, post-hoc staining and confocal microscopy/ anatomical reconstruction.
